Star Atlas is a play-to-earn game set in outer space in the year 2620. The game is built on the Solana blockchain and the popular Unreal Engine 5 game engine. Star Atlas has two internal tokens: ATLAS and POLIS.

How to start playing Star Atlas?
In Star Atlas, registration is done using a wallet that supports the Solana network, such as Phantom. You can read about how to install and create a Phantom wallet in our article “Phantom Wallet.” Next, go to the game’s official website, click “Play Now,” and connect your wallet.
The next step is choosing a faction. There are only three factions: Mud, Ustur, and Oni. Each has its own characteristics, such as access to local resources or main activities. Take your choice of faction seriously and carefully study the advantages of each, as you will not be able to change factions later.
Great, your account has been created and your faction has been chosen! Now, to start playing and earning, you will need your first NFT ship. It can be purchased on the game’s marketplace for the internal ATLAS token or USDC, with the cheapest costing 20 USDC. After purchasing a ship, you will need to buy resources for it: Fuel, Ammunition, Food, Repair Kit; these can be found on the marketplace in the “Resources” section.
Important note: don’t forget to leave some Solana to pay for in-game transaction fees.
Star Atlas gameplay
The Star Atlas game combines several game genres (Grand Strategy, Role Play, Space Flight Simulation, Exploration) and uses a variety of mechanics to attract different categories of gamers. In the space theme, players can explore the vast expanses in search of precious resources and participate in PVP and PVE battles. This allows them to obtain NFTs, which can later be sold on the marketplace. Let’s take a quick look at what you can do in the game:
- Combat. The game features a well-designed combat system in which even captured settlements can take part. Players have access to various maneuvers to defend their ship from incoming attacks and disable enemy defenses. Deal more damage to your enemies to destroy their ship and take their riches. There is also a passive assault mode that can be used strategically to capture a base and use it to your advantage.
- Deep space exploration. One of the main components of Star Atlas gameplay is deep space exploration. Players can visit all the stars they can see and use the most advanced equipment to scan the lands for treasures that can be traded on the market. Every star in the metaverse is rich in resources. Players will need high-level equipment to find these resources, clean them up, and sell them on the market.
- Professions. Managing an entire space station requires a team of professionals with roles ranging from pilot, gunner, and engineer to CEO, broker, and many others. Gradually unlocking a variety of new career options, players must assemble a team of highly skilled crew members who will take on these roles and perform daily tasks. From defending the station from hostile forces to utilizing logistics services and opening trade routes, each department will need professionals to carry out operations at the base.
How to earn money with Star Atlas?
Star Atlas currently exists as a mini-game in which there is only one way to earn money: NFT staking. You can send your spaceships on missions after purchasing fuel and resources for them, and receive passive daily income in the form of ATLAS cryptocurrency. This is done through the “Fleet Enlistment” tab.
Star Atlas is a very interesting and unique project among blockchain games, which has a variety of mechanics to diversify the gameplay.
