Gala Games’ Big Plans for Their New RPG

background

Mirandus is a new fantasy RPG project from Gala Games. The developers plan to fully implement the concept of complete player ownership of the world. This idea means that all objects in the game, from weapons and potions to entire villages and cities, belong to the players.

Gala Games also wants to achieve a fully player-controlled economy and politics in the game through an idea that will open up opportunities for players to influence the in-game world.

We already mentioned above the principle of complete ownership of the world by players, which is the main distinguishing feature of Mirandus. Absolutely every item in the game can belong to a player, which opens up endless opportunities for trade and economic development. For example, a blacksmith will need wood from a woodcutter, a woodcutter will need meat, a butcher will need potions, and so on.

Each player will be able to buy a building or even an entire city (in fact, they will own a certain “document” confirming the purchase of the building, and only 1 player will be able to own 1625 such “documents”), and then place a tile with their building somewhere in the world of Mirandus. This mechanic also helps to reveal the developers’ idea of a free economy. Thus, city owners will be able to regulate taxes, and shop owners will compete for the most popular locations on the map.

There are several sizes of buildings in Mirandus. The cheapest ones start at around $100, but a small village will set you back at least 0.497 ETH (~$500), and the first citadel (there will be 5 in total in the game) was sold for $800,000.

What does Mirandus offer?

The gameplay promises to be standard for the RPG genre, with one small detail: the game will feature a first-person view. Gala Games representatives claim that this will help immerse players in the gameplay and further promote the concept of owning in-game items. According to them, the studio’s main goal is to create a simulator of real adventures.

The developers promise that this month, players will be able to try out the world of Mirandus with their own mouse and keyboard, and players will already be able to earn the in-game token Materium.

Mirandus NFT collection drop

On December 6, the first sale of the Mirandus avatar collection took place on VOX. This is the second drop for Gala Games after Town Star, and they don’t plan to stop there, so similar events should take place in other games soon. And they don’t spare buyers

The developers are creating a metaverse on VOX where you can play with your avatar and earn VOX tokens. This means that you will be able to use your Mirandus avatars in other games from the studio. For example, in season 2 of Town Star, you will be able to use avatars purchased for Mirandus to get more TOWN tokens.

Avatars can also be used not only for gaming, but also for generating passive income: if you lock your GALA in your avatar, you will receive staking rewards in the form of VOX tokens. Each avatar is unique and symbolizes a character from a particular game, as well as having certain properties. For example, if you have both the hero and their avatar in Mirandus, you will receive certain benefits.

Gala Games is currently developing its ecosystem and plans to release four more games in addition to Mirandus and Town Star. The community is growing every day, and avatars and tiles with buildings are flying off the shelves, which indicates great interest in the project from the community. This game is definitely worth paying attention to, but as always, before investing your hard-earned money anywhere, carefully study everything yourself.
